EXTENDED IFS & PARTS WORK SESSIONS

IFS Intensives

IFS Intensives offer a longer, uninterrupted block of time devoted specifically to Internal Family Systems and parts work. Rather than watching the clock or needing to stop in the middle of something important, we have more room to stay curious about what is coming up and follow the work at your system’s pace.

What makes an IFS Intensive different from therapy?

In a regular therapy session, there may only be enough time to begin working with one part before we need to wrap up. An intensive reserves up to two hours specifically for parts work. That gives us more room to stay with a protective part, understand what it is carrying, and continue the process without immediately needing to shift toward ending the session.

The goal is not to force deeper work because we have more time. The extra time gives us the option to slow down instead of rushing.

An intensive may be a good fit if...

You feel like regular sessions sometimes end just as you are getting somewhere

There is a specific part, internal conflict, or pattern you want more time to explore

You want a session focused entirely on IFS rather than general updates

You know you tend to need more time before it feels ready to go deeper

IFS Intensives are not about doing as much work as possible in two hours. They are about having enough time to follow the work where it actually goes.

What to expect

What an IFS Intensive Looks Like

Before the intensive

We will make sure you understand the format and that an intensive feels appropriate for what you want to work on. Because the extended session is specifically reserved for parts work, we will be clear about that focus beforehand.

During the intensive

We reserve a two-hour block, with approximately 90–120 minutes available for IFS work. We follow the pace of your system rather than trying to fill a predetermined amount of time.

When the work feels complete

If the work feels complete around 90 minutes, we can end there. If continuing feels useful, the full two-hour block is available. The fee remains the same because the entire block has been reserved for you.

The biggest difference is time and focus.

A regular session includes room for whatever is happening that week and generally lasts around 45–50 minutes. An IFS Intensive reserves a longer block specifically for parts work so we do not have to stop simply because we have reached the end of a standard appointment.

That is completely fine.

The work does not need to last two hours simply because the time is available. If the process feels complete around 90 minutes, we can end there.

The $450 fee remains the same because the full two-hour block was reserved for the intensive.

No. You may already know what you want to focus on, or you may simply recognize a reaction, conflict, or pattern that keeps showing up. We can begin there.
Start by submitting a consultation request and let me know that you are interested in an IFS Intensive. We can talk about what you are hoping to work on and determine whether the intensive format makes sense for you.
